This is a toy made by Bogorodskaya toys in Russia.It is a hare chopping a log with an axe (The hare chops the log on pressing the lever at the back.The toys are in many ways symbolic of Russia.Bogorodskaya toys are excellent gifts which are perfect for display in any house.Being of reasonable price yet truly unique,they make wonderful affordable gifts.They are sold at $14.95 each. This toy has somewhat sharp edges in some parts such as the axe's tip but it should clearly be known that it is sharp as it is an axe.To me, I will use it as a display item as it is better to be looked at with its uniqueness then be played and be misshapen.
